Grammy Nominated Pianist to Perform at Mill Creek Town Center

The City of Mill Creek is thrilled to inaugurate Pianos on Main 2024 with a free extraordinary outdoor concert, a rare chance to experience the musical genius of Josh Rawlings live. On Monday, July 1, we invite you to be part of this unique event. Josh, a Grammy-nominated and Platinum Album Award-winning composer, studio musician, and performer, is the featured pianist on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ multi-GRAMMY-winning album, The Heist. His signature sound can be heard on ‘Same Love, ‘Downtown,’ and many other major albums.

Chava Mirel is a unique being in the world of music and spirit, defying classifications of style or genre. A multi-award winning musician and composer whose voice was recently featured on a Grammy award winning album, Chava is highly sought-after for collaborations and recordings.

Celebrated for her rich, luxurious vocals, lush harmonies, and rhythmic phrasing, Chava is also known for her loving and compassionate presence. Regardless of setting - spiritual gathering, concert hall, classroom or jazz club - she imbues her music and teachings with the universal themes of hope, caring, connection and inclusion.

Chava exhibits ease and fluency in an expansive array of musical styles. She has toured and recorded with a spectrum of artists from Reggie Watts to punk icon Ari Up. Celebrated as a singer songwriter, World Music and Jazz artist, Chava is featured vocalist for global Jazz Fusion band Duende Libre, whose last 2 albums, “Drift” and “The Dance She Spoke”, were both recipients of the Golden Ear Award for Best Recording in the Northwest. Chava has also played keyboards and toured internationally with the legendary Reggae artist Clinton Fearon (the Gladiators).

Chicago-Based, GRAMMY-Winning,Legendary Saxman, Frank Catalano returns to Seattle & HOT JAZZ AT THE GALLERY on Saturday April 6th!

This is a special "One-Off" appearance that Frank is making out of his fondness for Seattle Jazz fans and the Gallery after a week touring in Spain. Frank regularly plays at legendary venues, Birdland, NYC and Green Mill, Chicago. Until it's closure in 2019, Frank regularly played at Tula's Restaurant and Jazz Club when on tour on the West Coast and his last appearance was at former Tula's manager, Jason Moore's CALUNA'S in 2022. Fans have eagerly waited for his return!

He'll be backed by Seattle's notable Josh Rawlings Trio with Josh (Keys); Nate Omdal (Bass) & Adam Kessler (Drums). The JRT have been playing together for over 20 since they first met at Cornish College of the Arts in 2001.
